Wire Systems Technology or WST as it is known to all is one of South Africa's leading manufacturers and suppliers of magnet wire, covered conductor and electrical insulation materials.  WST is a brand synonymous with the supply of quality products, services and technical innovation to the electrical machines industry throughout Sub Saharan Africa.

WST operate from three manufacturing sites and have the widest distribution network in our chosen markets. We also currently have the largest supply footprint into Africa being formally represented in over 8 countries.

Activities are split into three manufacturing divisions with supply being channelled through our centralised distribution located in City Deep.:

Enamels Division– specialists in the manufacture of enamelled copper and aluminium conductors in both round and strip form.

Insulations Division - suppliers, convertors and manufacturers of high temperature electrical insulating materials.

Textiles Division – specialising in the covering of copper and aluminium conductors with a variety of specialised high temperature and high voltages tapes.

WST is an ISO9001:2008 accredited company and we hold the S.A.B.S. mark to manufacture round enamelled wire.  WST is uniquely positioned to supply the vast majority of your winding materials for the manufacture and repair of electrical machines.
