C220 is our newest offering and the flagship of the enamelled conductor product line. C220 is intended for applications where temperature is a known problem or where extended thermal endurance is required.

C220 has a modified polyester-imide enamel covering. This covering has excellent mechanical properties (flexibility and abrasion), thermal properties (thermal index, heat shock and cut through) and excellent chemical resistance. These properties make the wire particularly suitable for applications in random wound electrical machines, hermetically sealed refrigeration units and lighting ballasts.

The enamel covering has a thermal index of 226°C when tested in accordance with IEC 851-1 to 6.

C220 is currently made to order and is available in diameters from 0,30mm to 5,00mm (according to the I.E.C. standard sizes).
