Polyvinyl Acetal (PVA) covered conductors are thermally rated to operate up to temperatures of 120°C. PVA's excellent resistance to solvents and hydrolysis makes it suitable for use with most established impregnating varnishes, and resins and for application in oil filled transformers.

Our PVA enamelled wire can be supplied with a heat bondable overcoat and facilitate bonding of normal coils without the need for an impregnate.

Characteristics of this enamel are toughness, resistance to abrasion, flexibility, good dielectric strength and excellent windability, qualities obtained by strict manufacturing controls.

Coatings such as our C200X, which offers all the properties of PVA, yet at greatly elevated operating temperatures. Oil filled transformer manufacturers have gradually been switching to C200X over the years.

We encourage users of PVA to discuss the possibility of using upgraded products such as the C200X with our technical team.

Please contact our technical department for further details.
