WST Enamels Division is split between two factories in Springs. The Iron Road factory is the original manufacturing site established in 1964 while the Lead Road plant is significantly younger, employing state of the art machinery. Both plants produce a similar range of product which are predominately copper based. Aluminium is also available to order.
Standard coverings include polyurethane, inverter resistant enamel wire and the most widely used polyester-imide with an amide-imide topcoat or C220 as we call it. We also have the ability to produce bondable topcoats for specific applications, these are to order.
WST supplies round enamelled wire from 0.04mm through to 5mm and rectangular strip to order. Applications range from the manufacture of electronics components and small transformers through to large distribution and power transformers and electric motors.
